More on Project 3

Some details about this project include different duties. Erin volunteered for Maps, Alexi had other written assignments, I had a proposal, and Kyle had design. Initially like most assignments, we had a small stumble on how to complete this project. We were following examples from the online PTF of maps and a few tips from the book. After everything was set, we had our group meeting Wednesday, I showed a briefing of my proposal and it they liked it.

I saw the feedback by Matt, and it needs to be plural. I made a mistake because I wrote it, so I figured it was just myself, but it was a group project and i should have acted like it was from everyone else too.

More on Project 2

It was a fun cruise with my cousin who had lived in Cranston, RI much longer than I have. We traveled on biked when we were younger, but to go out and look for some place to eat or hang out was a different experience. I was brought to and introduced to many breakfast areas, pubs and bars, and restaurants worth mentioning. I explored www.yelp.com and a few other pages to review the places i wanted to add on to for the WikiTravel page of Cranston, RI.

Project 1

Project 1

I had a problem with this project in the beginning. i had a workshop with two classmates and they told me the same thing. My theme seems to be very raw, and jumpy. I needed one thing to talk about, not all the things that interest me. I give thanks to Katie who helped me greatly. She said my strength laid in sports when she read the drafted enthusiast blog. That gave me a boost on deciding what to write about.

I want to talk about football with fans, players, student athletes, and coaches. I chose it because I can talk about it all day and all night. I may as well make stuff up just be stand correct.

Right now, my favorite team is 12-2, The New England Patriots.

Proj 4 Healthy Eating

This certainly was a very fun and exciting project. That's because we were allowed to choose what topic we wanted to work with! That allowed me to be free and to be myself on this final project. The topic is HEALTHY EATING.

On this project, I revisit help, and teamwork from Alexi and Erin from project 3. They were equally excited about this. We had so much fun creating our group on social go, we didn't have enough time to finish. E_A_T equals Erin, Alexi, Tommy. Yes, we are such NERDS!! Healthy was just obvious, but it's okay.

I know some about good nutrition and what to eat, how to eat, and how to maintain your shape. I learned all this in high school during my days as a student-athlete. Exercising is very important, but just as much as eating.

On our profiles, we decided to be a fruit or vegetable, and I chose the T-O-Mato, see? Yes, exactly. The ladies were carrots and broccoli.

I noticed they were all posting and commenting and blogging and doing things I need to do. I found everything on time, I hope. I found many songs on Youtube, yet only to NOT be able to download them. I sort of cheated by posting a video instead of an actual music file. There was  Banana Rap, Fruits n Vegetables, but the one outstanding to me was the Sesame Street musical. It was the Cookie Monster rapping about the food pyramid. I thought that had to be shared, and so I did just that.

I recall struggling slightly searching for events about eating, but I did manage to find one. I was endlessly tagging Google with " healthy eating march event camp " , just about anything. Maybe I should have tried searching on Bing. Or Yahoo.

Uploading photos was fun. It couldn't be just any regular picture of food. I didn't want to upload stir-fry, or noodles, or rice. Some of my favorite foods had to be ignored, but I love fruits - I'm happy I can eat them raw unlike vegetables. BUT, they can be fired unlike fruits.

Collectively, I had the most fun with this project. I was given a voice via my Profile. I'm sure I spoke well.

1st and 2nd Annotated Bibs!!

1.      Szalayitz, Maia. Can Eating Junk Food Really Be an Addiction? TIME, 2010. Print.
Starts the article talking about a study that proved cocaine to be more addictive than a bag of chips. However, researchers showed that fast food, high-fat, high-calorie foods can be very addicting in the long run. A case study was done with rats eating rat chow. Regular food I guess. Second group with regular food and limited access to bacon, sausage and other fat foods. At last, the third group with unlimited access to the buffet. They showed to grow obese.
2.      Suddath, Claire. Thintervention’s Jackie Warner: How To Lose Weight. 2010.
Just an interview. I may use a different citation although I chose this because it was a bit more personal and perhaps relevant to others.

update wikitravel

Providence is on lock down. Cranston was all I had to work with. So I traveled.
